Beaches in Allenstown
Bear Brook State Park

There are small strips of beach along the ponds of this state park. It offers more than beaches though, this huge park offers great hiking and camping as well.

Parking for Bear Brook State Park is ample, but there is a $4 admission fee per adult (children are half-priced).

Jericho Mountain State Park

The beach along Jericho Lake is always a family favorite. When you’re done enjoying the sand, go hiking through the forest and enjoy the wildlife.

Beaches in Bristol
Wellington State Park

This is one of the largest freshwater beaches in New Hampshire state parks.
Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months.

Umbagog Lake State Park

Echo Lake State Park

A stunning park where you can enjoy the refreshing water while the majestic Cathedral Ledge towers overhead.
A lifeguard is on duty during the summer months.

Beaches in Dalton
Forest Lake State Park

One of the oldest state parks in NH. A 200 foot beach lies along Forest Lake and is a great spot for swimming and boating.

Forest Lake State Park costs $4 per adult and $2 per child.
Beaches in Franconia
Franconia Notch State Park – Echo Lake Beach

Franconia Notch State Park is one of the biggest New Hampshire tourist attractions, but did you also know it has a beach that gives stunning views of Mt. Lafayette and Cannon Mountain?

Beaches in Gilford
Ellacoya State Park

Situated along Lake Winnipesaukee, this beach features clear water with amazing, mountain views in the background.

Moose Brook State Park

Greenfield State Park

A 400 acre park that offers great spots for swimming, fishing and camping.
Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months.

It’s $4 for adults and $2 for children for entrance into Greenfield State Park.
Beaches in Hampton
Hampton Beach State Park

A popular summer vacation destination featuring a boardwalk that’s loaded with restaurants, bars, stores and attractions. Read about the day I spent at Hampton Beach.
Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months from 9AM – 5:30PM.

The parking lot at Hampton Beach is $15. There is also metered street parking and unofficial parking lots that range from $10 – $20.
North Beach

A little ways north of the main boardwalk, this beach offers great surf with plenty of parking.
Lifeguards are on duty during the summer from 10AM – 5:15PM.
Amenities: Parking, picnic area and restrooms
Parking for North Beach is metered, it costs $2/hour.
Beaches in Hollis
Silver Lake State Park

A 1000 foot, sandy beach situated along Silver Lake that’s one of the more popular beaches in New Hampshire for swimming and boating.
Lifeguards are on duty from 9:30AM – 6:00PM.

It is $4 for adults and $2 for children to enter Silver Lake State Park.

Kingston State Park

Bartlett Beach

Located along Lake Winnisquam, this beach is a favorite among the locals and it’s free!

Bond Beach

A 200 foot beach along Lake Opechee.

Parking for Bond Beach is for residents only and costs $10.
Opechee Park Cove Beach

Weirs Beach

There are lifeguards at this beach, but only during the on-season.

Mount Sunapee State Park

A major recreation hub, Mount Sunapee State Park offers beach and water activities for the whole family.

North Hampton State Beach

Pawtuckaway State Park

Lake Tarleton State Park

Beaches in Rye
Jenness State Beach

One of the few beaches in New Hampshire along the ocean. Jenness State Beach is a great spot to take the family.
Lifeguards on duty from May through September from 10AM – 5PM.

Wallis Sands State Beach

A popular tourist beach during the summer months, this beach is a great place to spend a day at the beach.
During the summer, lifeguards are on duty from 10AM – 5PM.

Wadleigh State Park

White Lake State Park

Albee Beach
