Mendon is a small town in central Massachusetts that boasts a modest population of around 5,800. A historic town, incorporated in 1667, Mendon is one of the oldest industrialized regions in the United States and is part of the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corner. One of this town’s biggest attractions is the Southwick Zoo.

- Southwick’s Zoo – One of the biggest attractions in the area is Southwick’s Zoo. If you can find a coupon, it makes for a great inexpensive day trip; otherwise it can be a little on the expensive side.
