Going on vacation is great; we all love to escape daily activities and have some relaxing and carefree time in amazing locations. One such location is definitely the British Virgin Islands — the paradisaical gem of the Caribbean region.
If you are into stunningly beautiful beaches, crystal clear turquoise water, and an overall luxurious experience, the BVI is the place we recommend. Apart from natural beauty, the BVI provide a number of unique, exciting, and unforgettable experiences for all visitors.
You can spend your day at the beach, or make the most of boat rentals in BVI and go sailing or experience amazing cruises and water tours. Additionally, you can visit museums, try out off-road tours, check out neighboring islands, or visit popular sites and landmarks. On top of that, enjoy the nature and parks, or participate in some of the numerous outdoor activities.
Here are the top 10 awesome things that you could do while visiting the BVI.
1. Rent a Boat
You don’t have to own a boat in order to take part in the boating scene in the BVI. In fact, all you need to do is rent one and head out to the sea. Traveling with family or friends can turn into a memorable lifetime experience while exploring the endless blue waters.
Also, if you are visiting the BVI on your own, you needn’t give up on the dream of renting a boat, team up with other individuals or small groups and rent a boat together. Renting a boat in the BVI is very flexible and easy — you can rent whichever type of boat you like, and for however long or short you want. There is something for everyone’s taste and budget.
2. Swim in The Baths
One activity that you definitely shouldn’t miss in the BVI is swimming in The Baths — a geological wonder of the Caribbean.
This site is known for its massive granite stones that cover the shoreline and the beaches, thus making a unique scenery in the whole area. But that’s not all; if you decide to walk to the end of the caves, you will find yourself on Devil’s Bay — a tiny and peaceful beach adjacent to The Baths.

Just like The Baths, the Anegada island is famous for its geological structure and interestingly flat appearance. To experience the Anegada island in all its glory, you just need to rent a boat and sail to this unique island — the ride takes only one hour.

Looks like boating is king in the BVI. Darcee & I were looking to escape this summer to the Caribbean and the BVI is one of the places we were thinking of hitting up. The UVI was another but it seems like there is better swimming in the UVI while boating is bigger in the BVI. Though Anegada island looks and sounds pretty off the hook for all kinds of fun. I mean who doesn’t want to eat fresh caught lobster for dinner!
Outside of the beach near the Baths and the Baths themselves do you find you need a boat to get to good places to swim?
